The Assessor Award (A1) is essential for anyone who, as part of their work, assesses candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods.

The award covers four elements of competence:

· Developing plans for assessing competence with candidates

· Judging evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions

· Providing feedback and support to candidates on assessment decisions

· Contributing to the internal quality assurance process

Candidates for this award must be able to assess at least 2 candidates in the workplace.

The cost of undertaking the award is Ł500, which includes:

• Induction meeting

• 1 tutorial

• 1 observation

• Assessment and accreditation

• Registration and administration

The Internal Verifier Award (V1) is appropriate for anyone, who as part of their work, has to:

• Evaluate internal assessment processes

• Monitor and review internal assessment audit systems

• Carry out related internal verification or moderation activities

Candidates for this award must have responsibility for at least 2 workplace assessors.

The cost of undertaking the award is Ł500, which includes:

• Induction meeting

• 2 tutorials

• Assessment and accreditation

• Registration and administration
